Alex Narduzzi​

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #17585) with over 6 years of experience working in the social services field supporting children, teens, young adults and families. My approach is warm, compassionate, and rooted in genuine connection—creating a space where young people feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow. I specialize in working with children (ages 10+), teens, and young adults with concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, attention difficulties (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive behaviours, self-esteem, trauma, school, and relationship issues. I also support young people identifying as LGBTQ+. In addition to individual therapy, I offer consultation to parents and caregivers to help them better understand their child's behaviour and strengthen family relationships. I also collaborate with school professionals to ensure consistent support beyong the therapy room.

My Approach

Connection is at the heart of my work. I prioritize building trusting, respectful relationships where young people feel seen, heard, and free to be themselves. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices - tailoring each session to the individual's unique needs. Starting therapy can feel daunting, and I am committed to meeting clients with care and compassion, exactly where they are. My training and experience allow me to support you in developing healthy coping skills, strengthening resilience, and navigating the changes and challenges that come with growing up.

Education & Certification

 

I hold a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and. My training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Motivational Interviewing and more. I integrate these approaches in a flexible, client-centered way to support meaningful, lasting change.
